A Mizzdeereious World... An Intro To Me!

WHY?

Here it is - my first blog! I've finally decided to set one up take the leap and combine all of my travels, experiences, trips & little tips on one site for you to refer back to. Instagram stories only last 24 hours & I always save to my highlights, but this feels a bit more accessible and easy to refer to at any time. I genuinely get a lot of DM's /messages such as; "Where did you go on holidays that time last year? What was the place called where you stayed? Can you send me the link to that accommodation? Can you recommend where is best to go between A or B? I want to go on a weekend trip where would you recommend? I want to pick your brains on the best places to visit etc." So here I will document exactly that!

I've been thinking about this for quite some time, I actually set this website up in January this year as a little Goal of Mine for 2020 and then things just just didn't go to plan - with quite a few obvious set-backs around the globe over the last few months and a personal one also in January this year that really opened my eyes for me - life is god damn short! I can't emphasise this phrase any more "You can't give your life more time, so give the time you have left more life!"

THE NAME?

The name comes from my social media handle "@mizzdeere" which has just stuck over time, I LOVED the Mizz Magazine as teenager, every Saturday spending my pocket money on it reading the columns, getting a free necklace inside & some FAB glitter eyeshadow!! This has led me on to combining this with the mysterious world we live in and little did I know what was about to unfold across the world after I had created this site - with travel plans out the window for some time for all of us. But, nonetheless, I feel like this is the perfect time while we have paused our trips for now, to spend some time creating content & blogs about where I have been to so far and I hope you can get some value from this.

DON'T WASTE A MINUTE OF LIFE:

Living in Australia for 5 years now (absolute craziness!) here I will be sharing all the trips I have been on, both here and abroad. Whether it be a staycation here in NSW, a weekend get-away or an activity, I document a lot on my Instagram between stories/videos I take a LOT of pictures (well my insta boyfriend Tom does!) My favourite thing to do, and what makes me the happiest is visiting somewhere I have never been to before! The excitement of literally "taking the scenic route" or taking the "road less traveled" is something that cannot be topped for me personally. This isn't for everyone and I know people love returning back to their favourite spots year after year. However, I'm the type of person who loves to see somewhere new, I enjoy ticking things off as I go along in life, create a list, experience it & make the memories... capture every moment I can & move on to the next. After all there is a big mysterious world out there, we only get one shot so you have to seize the day - Carpe Diem!
